Can I go running with a double stroller?

Question by rosie babayyy: Can I go running with a double stroller?
I’m too cheap to buy a jogging stroller. I can’t run fast anyways, I’m WAY out of shape. Will I be able to manage running with a double stroller though, or even lightly jogging?

depends on the brand – if its an eddie bauer it should be easy (i have a jeep now and it’s a lot harder than the eddie bauer & i have used a costco too)

I would say light joggling…..just be EXTRA careful b/c I know my travel system stroller the wheels do what they want sometimes, or if you hit a small bump in the road.

    I don’t see why not.

    I see everybody do that

Just don’t lean your weight into the handle bar to much and make sure you have complete control and you should be good. Try not to hit bumps. :)

You can, it’s really difficult to steer, and really bumpy on your babies though!

  8. Raising Three Ducklings! says:

Yes, but start on a level area. Running uphill w/ those is NOT fun.

If it is anything like the POS one I own you wont. It has shocks on the front and it sucks to steer. I hate it.

I would say just be careful of the terrain that you are on. The regular strollers have small wheels and aren’t able to take rocks and holes, etc. The jogging strollers have bigger wheels to roll right over them, but if you want to do it-then do it! Remember: our parents didn’t have ‘jogging strollers’ and still were able to jog if they wanted!

I have no idea whatsoever if you’ll manage it with your double stroller as I have enough issues just popping to the shops with mine!

However, I just wanted to say good on you for even contemplating it!

    Good luck!
