I would like to buy a Schwinn stroller off EBAY from the US. I live in Canada. Do I have to pay custom?

Question by Shannamontana: I would like to buy a Schwinn stroller off EBAY from the US. I live in Canada. Do I have to pay custom?
How do I find out how much the custom/duty fees will be or if there are any at all. I understand that if an item is manufactured in the US then there are no cutom fees. I live one hour from the border, so I plan on having it shipped to a place just a mile over the US border and then driving back into Canada with the stroller.

You will have to pay GST unless the seller does something illegal and does not declare it properly.

You will have to pay customs fees unless you can convince customs it’s a GIFT, and by GIFT, I mean a gift TO YOU, not from you to someone else!! There is no way to figure out the exact amount, that i know of. You can check it out at the website I posted below. I’m not quite sure I’d drive and get it though, the customs fee would probably be cheaper than the gas needed for driving both ways. Why not have it shipped all the way to your home.
