We purchased this stroller mainly because we wanted to be able to see our 6 month old daughter and were not willing to spend $1000 on a bugaboo. Here is what we discovered.

    PROS:

    1. very sturdy

    2. easy to handle

    3. comfortable inside due to padding

    CONS:

    1. bulky and heavy (and I have an SUV and it takes up almost the whole trunk). If you travel, there is zero room for your luggage.

    2. not easy to fold and unfold, the latch gest stuck, too many steps to fold and unfold as you have to turn the handle inside, make sure the footrest is straight otherwise it stick out and you can see it in the rear vew mirror

    3. wobbly when facing towards you

    4. handle bar does not stay put and creates a potential hazard for the baby

    5. buckle- if you are considering this stroller- hear me out on this one. it takes two people and a LOT of patience to buckle your baby in this stroller. THis is a 3 part process, during which you or the baby will be screaming from frustration (sometimes both at the same time). When you try to do the side buckles, the middle will come off and vice versa.

    6. CANOPY is way too small. If you live in a sunny state (like CA), this is a no-go. As you recline the seat to put the baby to sleep, the canopy reclines with it leaving you baby fully exposed to the sun. THere is no blanket large enough to cover it, and frankly you shouldn’t have to need one after spending $600 on a stroller!

    7. no accessories- no cupholder or anything!

Overall, we are VERY disappointed with this stroller. I have spend unspeakable amount of time researching the strollers, and am now considering Maclaren Grand Tour- excellent reviews, easy fold, light and reversible. And it has a HUGE canopy. Yes, it is $1000, but I am tired of fighting with Icoo for two months!

    CONS

Canopy is WAY too short, especially when you recline…sun shines directly in baby’s eyes

Canopy is solid…you cannot see the baby, needs a window

Universal adapter….not quite. I have Graco Snugride 32 and it does not fit. The adapter is unusable.

    Rather large when folded up

    No cup holders

    No manufacturer accessories

Cargo basket is very shallow….I do not feel that my items placed there are secure in any way.

Difficult to convert from pram to targo…should be able to exchange one for the other without having to disassemble and then re-assemble using the same parts

When in pram set up, cannot adjust to a sitting position

When in targo set up and trying to recline, child’s feet are higher than their head

    PROS

    SMOOTH ride

Fabrics are well made and clean easily

    Adjustable handles

    Adjustable height

    Boot & rain hood

We were very pleased with our purchase of Icoo Targo and after only nine months of use, the wheel barrings (on the large wheels) collapsed, making the large wheels very wobbly (this is only in NYC streets, no crazy terrain here. We could not find anywhere customer support, the place where we bought it in NYC would not respond to our requests to put us in touch with the manufacturer (Schneiders). Luckily my husband is an engineer and pulled the wheels apart and they are back straight now. When he looked inside the barrings had completely disintegrated.

So if you are looking to buy a stroller of this calibre, please, do yourself a favor and buy the Bugaboo Gecko – same price, higher standard and quality. We have friends that have had one for 5 years now, 3 boys later and it has had absolutely no problems. When we where in the market for one the Gecko was not out yet and $900 for cameleon seemed too steep to us. – Well, cheap always ends up costing more.

Quality!! We bought the I’coo Targo (Mocha)for our daughter. She is due in April and I just couldn’t wait to get everything ready. The stroller was easy to set up and is effortless to move around. I love the features of the Targo. My wife is petite and loves the height adjustment of the seat and pram, as well as the handle adjustment. I love the ease at wich you can change the seat with the infant carrier attachment. It does take a bit of time to convert from the pram to the seat, but I can’t imagine changing that too often. The stroller is QUIET!

We bought the Chicco Key Fit 30 infant carrier and it fit the attachment just fine. We also bought the Prince Lionheart Click N Go Stroller Accessory System and it fit like a charm as well. We cant find anything about this stoller that we dont like…except the lack of accessories for it.

We reasearched the Targo (as well as 20 other high end models)and do not regret buying it above all the other models. We completely reccomend this to anyone that wants a solid, well made, functional stroller that is well worth the money.

    8 MONTH UPDATE:

OK…so we have used this stroller for 8 months now and have really had the chance to use it.

Yes…it still is a great stoller. HOWEVER!! It is not easy for my wife to collapse and expand. It does take up a lot of trunk room. One of the wheels squeaks and we cant figure out how to fix it. The canopy should be expand more to cover from the sun. There is no practical reason why it should not. The Bassinett option is nice if you child likes it. If not, then it is useless. So, its a gamble. Our baby hated it and would not tolerate it for longer than 5 minutes. Other babies seem to love it.

No accessories for a $500+ stroller sucks.

PROS: This stroller still is great and very adaptable. It is solid and quiet. Very agile and I can navigate through tight shopping aisles. The mateirals are top quality and easy to clean. Very breathable for our baby. Very adjustable to me and my wife.

Best of all: Our baby loves the stroller! So, I still recommend it, just not wowed anymore. Dropped 2 stars on my rating.

After figuring out the instructions, I am more than pleased with this stroller and the prompt service from Dainty Baby. The stroller is somewhat dificult to find and this was the best price around by far. I love style and ease of motion of this stroller.
