Hi,

We decided to get a Bumbleride Flyer, which can fit an infant seat too. There are many nice strollers that are not part of travel systems, but they come with adapters that fit the more popular infant seats (Graco Snugride, Peg Perego, etc).

With that approach, when you're done using the infant seat, you're left with a high-quality stroller that you can continue to use and love.

Here's a great guide about car seats and strollers that was really helpful to us... http://www.peppyparents.com/servlet/Page?template=Car%20Seats%20and%20Strollers

Congratulations and good luck!

I have a Graco Quattro Tour. I love it except for the fact that it weighs a ton. Our apartment is on the second floor and there is no elevator so I have trouble getting up and down the stairs. I have a Combi I-Thru stroller. It's super light and the seat is reversible. The ride isn't as smooth as the Graco and the basket is small, but I find it more convenient when I am by myself and don't have my boyfriend to carry the stroller up and down stairs. Check out the user reviews on Babies R Us and Target. They'll give you a pretty good picture of how convenient the stroller is.

I got a Graco Quatro Tour travel system. It came with the infant carrier and a car seat base. The carrier attached to the stroller and then when baby was big enough I was able to get a normal car seat for him and use the stroller as a standard stroller.

Edit:

My graco will lay down completely flat for baby to get a comfy nap while we were out and about. There are 4 or 5 different positions that it was able to adjust to. The best bet is to go to a store and look at the floor model. If there is a Babies R Us near you, go there... they will have a large selection and you can push them around to see how comfortable they are for you too... I have heard of some strollers being uncomfortable for parents who may be very short or tall.

You can get the best of both worlds with a travel system or the kind that fits the carseat. I had a Graco travel system and I used it from the day my daughter was born still until she was about 2 years old. When she was an infant I left her in the carseat and locked the carseat into the stroller, as she got to big for that carseat I just put her in the stroller, when she got too big to reide in the stroller with the tray I took it off. I also invested in an umbrella stroller (around $10 at Wal-Mart) for when I was in a hurry and she was big enough that she could walk or ride. I would definately reccomend getting a travel system!!! Good luck!
